I really like the idea! That's so cool!

What a good idea! I always wondered if these "magic eye" pictures could be animated, or if that would destroy the effect of the seeming flatness of the picture as you first see it. If the "magic" parts were moving, you wouldn't have to focus your eyes to see them. Anyway, cool project -- might be worth it for you to play with the concept a little further. :)

Thank you! Yeah, very much a quick proof of concept. I happen to know of someone working on taking this kind of thing a little deeper, potentially with some animation...

In a slightly similar idea, there is this other game where the graphics are made purely out of static noise. Yet, you can clearly see the platforms and hazards.

It's called "Lost in the Static": https://silverspaceship.com/static/

haha, nice idea. There is only one level?

Yes! Well, and a secret message at the end :)

Great concept. I found the star hard to get as it's in the "foreground" and not part of the 3d picture.

So cool ! Love magic eyes !

wait i don't understand....i beat it....there's a thing to see....? i just jumped on invisible platforms and got the star..

i've been told there is indeed a magic eye image haha, i'm not sure i'll be able to see it

here's a page I wrote about the game for Indiepocalypse, it mentions methods for seeing the hidden images: https://i.imgur.com/65eIWIh.png

First game to make me smile uncontrollably in a long time. This took me back some years! Took me way too long to figure out the second 'level' though :)

Imaginary game: a metroidvania where progression is gated by real-life skills the player must learn.

Was hard to know which blue guy to use at first

This is a really fun concept for a game. It would be A LOT easier to see if there was a full screen function.

Otherwise there's an overlap of the top information, and the game needs to be pushed down for some resolutions to be able to see it fully.

cute :)

Maybe you need to explain to your players how to see the thing, because if someone didn't explain it to me i'll never understand the magic of you game ; but i love the idea, i didn't even know this was possible to do !

Yeeeessssss ! I love Magic Eye pictures, never thought I’d see a game made with them!
